Dana Brown Charitable Trust (DBCT) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) have joined together to make significant impacts on the lives of disadvantaged youth across greater St. Louis. Through their philanthropy and partnership DBCT has given BGCSTL the opportunities to grow the number of youth being served through programs, facilities, and operational enhancements. BGCSTL is a proud to have joined forces with DBCT over many years to build great futures for youth across St. Louis.

Impact

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) provides after-school, teen, sports and summer programs to youth across the Bi-State Region while also providing a safe place for them to learn and grow. The Clubs serve youth across MO & IL, including (Adams Park Club, Boys & Girls Club of Bethalto, Boys & Girls Club of Lovejoy, Hazelwood Elementary School Club, Herbert Hoover Club, Mathews-Dickey Club, O’Fallon Park Club, Riverview Gardens Club, Hazelwood Southeast Middle School Club and the Teen Center of Excellence). We also operate the Mentor St. Louis and St. Louis Internship programs.

BGCSTL offers youth a wide range of activities in six core program areas: Education; Workforce Readiness & Career Development; Character & Leadership Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

Boys & Girls Clubs are one of the most powerful youth development tools in the country and are considered the number one preparer of youth to stay on track for high school graduation. BGCSTL has been successfully serving the St. Louis metro region for nearly 60 years. Moreover, our outcomes are impressive: 98% of club youth expect to graduate from high school on time, and 100% of those will enter two- or four- year colleges, enter the job force through an earned certificate that is related to a career, or enlist in the military.

Youth demonstrate increased engagement in school and learning and show improved Academic Success. Our vision is that every member progresses to the next grade level on time and graduates with a plan for the future.

Youth leading Healthy Lifestyles demonstrate improved healthy habits and decision-making skills and show a strong commitment to leading a healthier lifestyle. Our vision is to empower youth to make healthful choices.
